Circa 1900, of bombe cushion form, the hinged cover centred by a painted portrait panel of a courting couple in a garden, the body with gilt latticework panels and brown scalework corners, underglaze blue crossed swords mark attributable to Meissen beneath, 3" (7.5cm) wide

Small rub to dress. Glue residue to underside of cover (porcelain has been re-inserted into frame). Rubbing to metalwork. Slight flaw or flake loss underneath rim of body to one back corner.
