A George III mahogany longcase clock. Thomas Hale, London, circa 1780. Having a 12" silvered break-arch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, engraved "Thos. Hale London", the arch with Strike/Silent ring, the five-pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the break-arched case with brass ball-and-spire finials over cut foliate scroll crestings, stop-fluted columns, conforming canted corners flanking a moulded break-arched long trunk, on cut corner-panelled base with wavy apron and integral bracket feet, 90.5", (230cm) high.

Condition Report
Dial and movement in good condition. Light tarnishing to dial but nothing serious.
Case - minor splits to roof arch, slight grain cracking to tri=unk door and base panel - but overall very good.
