An oak-cased 30-hour painted dial longcase clock. Anonymous, circa 1800. Having a 12-inch broken-arched dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes (faded) framing a terrestrial calendar crescent, within fan spandrels beneath an arch painted with seated Arcadian figures and a dog, the knopped four-pillar movement outside countwheel-striking on a bell, the case with swan-neck pediment over turned columns, humped crossbanded long trunk door between canted corners, and crossbanded base with apron, sold with weight and pendulum, 82.25", (209cm) high

Condition Report
Dial - much crazing, some reblacking and a large amount of fading to numbers. requires restoration.
Movement - needs a clean and overhaul but basically genuine. Not tested or guaranteed.
Case - cracks and three veneer losses to hood door, mainly to lower edge. Loss to pediment between swan necks. Much loss to arch stringing. Scratches to trunk door plus later toggle to secure it. Losses to crossbanded border. Apron likely to be later.
