Lot Description

A late 19th century French inlaid rosewood portico clock. Having a 3" white-enamelled Roman dial with moon hands, the two-train movement, outside countwheel-striking on a bell, numbered 4042, the case with brass-strung pediment and four columns, 16.5", (42cm) high, on an inlaid walnut oval base with glass dome.

Movement - appears sound.

Case - old worm scarring to one column. Has been repolished. Crack to one side of base. Cracking to oval plinth.
