Lot Description

George III set of six matched open salts, each of oval form with a reeded rim above an engraved border of decorative motifs, crested cartouche to one side and vacant cartouche to the other, standing on an oval pedestal foot, also with reeded rim. Four salts hallmarked Henry Chawner London 1790, two salts hallmarked Soloman Hougham London 1794. Maximum length of each measures 3 1/2 inches (9cm), combined weight 10 ozt (313.9 grams).
