Lot Description
A Victorian silver flat based tray of oval form, with twin handles and a fluted and scroll engraved border . Hallmarked Elkington & Co (Frederick Elkington) Sheffield 1889. Length 18 ¼ Inches (46.3 cm), width 10 ½ Inches (26.7 cm), weight 27 ozt (842 grams).

Condition Report
General scratches and tarnishing has been made to the tray. A few dints are also visible, one being to the main body and three being to the underneath of the tray. The hallmarks are visible and legible, the makers mark however is more rubbed than the others. There is also some evidence of a small amount of rubbing on the scroll engraving to the border of the tray - only noticeable under close inspection and in keeping with the age and use
