Lot Description
George IV silver mounted set of four wine coasters, each of circular form with lobed sides leading to an everted rim applied with a foliate, shell and gadroon border, the turned wood base with a small, central, circular silver panel engraved with a crest depicting a pair of wings. Hallmarked Creswick & Co (Thomas, James & Nathaniel Creswick), Sheffield 1824. Maximum diameter of each measures 7 1/4 inches (18.5cm).

Condition Report
Each coaster displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. There are various minor nicks in the metal and some surface dints and creases, which are visible from both sides. The wooden bases are all a little bit loose in the silver mounts. Some of the hallmarks are partly rubbed /distorted but all are legible.
