A late 19th century shell cameo. Carved to depict a young bacchante with grape vine detail, within a later associated brooch mount. Stamped 9ct. Length 5.6cms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The mount has had the bead surround added at a later date. The pin is not original. The shell has fine stress cracks and a number of more obvious cracks visible face up above the figures head. The safety chain is made of various components that were never originally together and is not original to the piece. Weight 18.4gms.
