A mid Victorian 18ct gold diamond single-stone ring. The old-cut diamond, within an extended claw setting, to the engraved shoulders and plain band. Estimated diamond weight 0.60ct, G-H colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1865.

Overall condition good. Surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Diamond bright and lively with incipient fractures running from the girdle. The engraving is slightly worn. The band has been re-sized. Weight 4.9gms. Ring size P1/2.
