Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The pendant has openwork settings, mostly in silver with a gold backing. The loop holding the pear-shape aquamarine is significantly bent to one side so the pendant does not hang straight. The Russian marks are rubbed but include a 56 zlotnik mark for St. Petersburg post 1908. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers at the front of our catalogue for coloured gemstones. The aquamarines are not very well matched with a range of very slightly greyish blue through slightly greyish greenish blue hues and all have good clarity, with some small typical inclusions. The aquamarines are in fair to good condition with minor abrasions and some nicks to facet edges. The aquamarine weights were estimated using a millimeter gauge. The principal aquamarine has the following measurements: 9.6 by 10.1 by 7.6mms, measured within the limitations of the mount, estimating 3.50cts.
