A late 19th century 15ct gold ruby and diamond brooch. Designed as a cartouche-shape panel the old-cut diamond flanked by circular-shape rubies within a rope twist surround. Stamped 15ct. Length 4.2cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. The brooch is scratched and quite heavily discoloured with purple and black tarnishing. The central diamond is bright, estimated diamond weight 0.04ct, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. The rubies are in good condition, all settings may need to be secure. The back pin and catch is secure. Weight 4.9gms.
