A mid 19th century French 18ct gold enamel pendant. The oval ceramic plaque depicting the infant Eros and Psyche, within a garland and bow surround with quiver and flaming torch surmount, suspending a cultured pearl. AF. French assay marks. Length 5.2cms. Weight 13.4gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in poor to fair overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The pin hinge is broken, the pin loose, and would require attention. There is minor wear to the white metal plating on the torch. The pearl is possibly a replacement and may be freshwater natural but has not been tested in any way. Diameter of pearl 5mms. The pearls bow surmount is loose and has a loss to one side. The surmount is a gold plated replacement with wear to the plating. The enamel plaque has a large chip at one end and a small crack at the other end. There are also some deep scratches to the enamel at one of the figures hands. The makers mark is believed to be CT with central motif, within a lozenge.
