Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch signed Hunt & Roskell, London, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, outer minute track, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, the rubbed case, London hallmark for 1848, makers mark FM, with milled middle, engine turned design and vacant cartouche to rear, fitted with a signed frosted gilt three quarter plate fusee and chain movement with chaton set train jewelling, ratchet tooth lever escapement, split bi-metal compensation balance and blued hairspring. Case diameter 47mm. Total weight 73gms.

Hunt & Roskell pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning, few tiny pieces of debris to the dial, light crack to the dial between four o'clock and the subsidiary dial, few small chips to the subsidiary dial, the glass is lightly scratched, case has medium scratches and scuffs, rubbing to the engine turned decoration.
