Lot Description
A possibly George III gilt key wind pair case pocket watch signed John Smither, London, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track with Arabic divisions, the cases, the inner gilt, the outer case made of shagreen, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement, signed James Smith, London, with verge escapement and decorated, pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 48mm.

Condition Report
A key wind pocket watch, movement is not functioning currently, tiny marks on the dial, scratches and debris on the dial, hands are marked and discoloured, glass is scratched, some of the scratches may polish out, deeper marks may remain, glass would benefit from a clean, case is marked and discoloured, shows signs of wear, showing signs of use at the edge, perhaps caused when it was opened, pitting to the case, the shagreen case shows signs of wear, small areas of discolouration, lightly scratched.
