Lot Description
A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch by William Dunant, London, the white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track with Arabic divisions, the inner case hallmarked London 1776, the outer with repousse decoration depicting classically styled figures of a soldier and elderly gentleman in conversation, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement, signed William Dunant, London, with square baluster pillars, verge escapement and pierced, decorated balance cock. Outer case diameter 50mm. Together with a double chain with a selection of fobs and a pin.

Pair case pocket watch, key wind movement is not currently functioning, the balance spring is broken, balance staff is bent but with pivots still intact, train is jammed, tiny marks to the dial, portion of dial cut out to allow dial and movement to secure to the case, tiny marks and light discolouration to the hands, the glass is lightly scratched, inner case has scratches and lots of dents to the rear, outer case has scratches and tarnishing, rubbing to the design, button to the side of the outer case is heavily rubbed and slightly misshapen, chain and fobs are scratched and lightly tarnished.
