Lot Description
An early 18th century gilt key wind pair case repeater pocket watch by Paul Dupin, London, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, outer minute track, plain outer case, inner with decorated pierced border, fitted with a frosted gilt full plate fusee and chain movement signed P. Dupin, London, number 1372, with verge escapement, pierced balance cock and repeating complication. Outer case diameter 48mm.

A key wind pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, repeater complication currently only sounds two strikes before stopping and will need looking at, therefore we are unaware exactly what form of repeater it is, tiny marks and medium scratches, enamel is chipped by nine o'clock, Arabic numerals beginning to show signs of wear, one hand is missing, remaining hand is marked and discoloured, glass is scratched, most of the scratches should polish out, small chips at the edge by the ten o'clock, case has medium scratches caused by general use, dent at the edge of the case back, areas of wear to the gilt and discolouration on case back and on the crown and stem, outer case has medium scratches, and shows signs of wear and discolouration.
