Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with bold black Roman numeral hour markers, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, the rubbed case with Chester hallmarks for 1898, milled middle, vacant cartouche to case back, fitted with an unsigned gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement and bi-metal split compensation balance. Case diameter 55mm. Together with a silver curb-link Albert chain with lobster clasp and base metal T-bar termination.

Silver key wind pocket watch, movement working intermittently, dial is scratched and showing dark marks, hands are noticeably discoloured and showing scratches, glass is heavily scratched from use and showing dirt, case is heavily tarnished and showing scratched, design to back of case is rubbed, hallmarks to bow and pendant are rubbed.

Lot comes with silver Albert chain, hallmarks to chain are rubbed, chain is tarnished and showing general scratches from use, base metal T-bar is a noticeable difference in colour and showing general scratches and wear.
