An early 20th century gold diamond, ruby and enamel Royal Lancashire Light Infantry brooch. Of openwork design, the circular-shape ruby rose with rose-cut diamond horn and bow, to the green enamel laurel surround and red enamel crown halo surmount. Length 2.7cms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct, individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The rubies are moderately well matched with a purplish red hue and variation in tone and saturation, some rubies appearing relatively dark. The rubies have typical inclusions including small surface blemishes. The enamel is slightly gradated and is in good condition with some surface scratches. The gold has minor tarnish. The brooch is unhallmarked. Weight 4.7gms.
