Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The clasp is probably a replacement, is a different colour gold to the rest of the piece and the push piece is moderately prominent when closed. The safety chain is a later replacement, the loops for a safety chain appear original but the chain has small solder visible near each end. Please see important notices in the back of the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The sapphires are foil backed and are a pale blue hue. The sapphires have moderate-significant abrasion. One of the sapphires has a natural indentation that appears like a chip but is natural and polished smooth. One split pearl has a yellowish surface, the other has strong green and rose overtones and significant nacre damage. The gold has a pitted and dented surface that was purposely designed using a mercury oxide treatment by Louis Wiese. Weight 49.5gms.
