Lot Description
A continental diamond and enamel locket. The oval-shape locket decorated with a rose-cut diamond, circular-shape paste and enamel bead cluster, suspended from a bow surmount and fancy-link chain. One diamond deficient. Unhallmarked. Length of locket 5.5cms. Length of chain 68cms. Weight 42gms.

Condition Report
Overall contidion fair. Dents and scratches in keeping with age. Evidence of repair to the locket and setting with soft solder visible. There is some tarnishing to the reverse of the locket. Due to the closed back settings and nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to calculate a diamond weight. Based on the surface spread alone of the diamonds, they appear to occupy the same surface space as diamonds with an estimated total weight of 1.50cts, however it is important to note that as it is not possible to gauge the depth of the stones, this estimated weight does not reflect the true weight of the diamonds in any way. There are chips to some of the circular-shape pastes. Some of the blue enamel has worn off the beads.
