Local/Advertising interest: A Wedgwood match-pot promoting 'Mitchell & Butlers Ales & Stout'. Having an ovoid body with textured exterior for striking, the dished circular base printed "AWARDED GOLD MEDAL PARIS 1889", the edge printed as above, impressed mark beneath, 5.25" diameter x 3.5" high, (13.5cm x 9cm).
