A Pugin-style pottery bread plate or standish of circular form with raised red and blue gothic lettering "Eat thy Bread with Joy and Thankfulness" to the pink border, framing gilt wheat ears, raised on six gilt scroll feet, impressed "PEARL WARE" with a Staffordshire knot mark, 12" diameter x 2.75" high, (30cm x 7cm).
