A Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono of a fisherman and his son. the boy perched upon his fathers right shoulder, holding a fish aloft, the father steadying his son with his right arm, holding a net in his left, his left leg resting upon a rock, a sea bird at his feet, on an integral oval base with incised leaf and red two character signature beneath, 7" (17.5cm) high, plus another similar (latter af) 8" (20cm) high

Condition Report
1 - Dark hair crack to net and down towards base. Further cracking to rear. There seems to be a faint glue spot to the tip of the fish's tail where it meets the fathers head.
2 - Cracked through ankles and one leg of bird has been previously glued
