A good Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono of a fisherman. Modelled in standing pose wearing a broad brimmed hat, a basket of fish slung over his left shoulder and held in his right hand, a well modelled net in his left, wearing a knee length robe and standing upon an integral circular base, incised two character mark beneath, 5.5" (13.5cm) high
