An unusual late 19th century gentleman's mahogany walking cane. The upper leather covered section of detachable form removing to reveal a concealed telescope with single drawer action. Cane 34" (86.25cm). Telescope (extended) 16.5" (42cm), closed 13" (33cm)

Condition Report
Gilded terminal worn, dented and has heavy signs of wear. Leather is in quite good order possibly a little shrunk to its edges. The hollow section of the cane has sustained damage and repairs, with signs of wax filling. Gilding to the telescope poor, heavily scratched with losses, lenses have marks upon them believed to be dirt or dust
