Marc Newson for Jaeger LeCoultre: An Atmos 561 table clock. Issued to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Atmos in a Limited Edition of 888, this example numbered 531, the recessed 6.5-inch Arabic dial with minute track in brushed surround, framing an exposed in-line mechanism with silvered month dial over moon phase, the 15-jewel movement powering the mainspring via changes in temperature, the Baccarat crystal case of rounded cuboid form on a circular base with three adjustable feet, 11", (28cm) high., in original fitted embossed tan leather presentation case and a protective draw-string bag, sold with original paperwork including Certificate of Origin, Guarantee Certificate, and handbook.
Provenance: Purchased directly from Jaeger by the current owner. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first and only Jaeger 561 to be offered at auction.
