A Swiss miniature 'picture clock' with automaton, early 20th century, the glazed rectangular panel printed with figures outside a mountain chalet, a clock tower beyond with articulated face, above a stable with cut-out fan window with silvered profile illustrating 'Cupid's Forge', the angel hammering arrows with articulated right hand, the brass backing stamped "Idylle au Village. fab. suisse", with back-wound timepiece movement, numbered 72726, on a green onyx platform, 5" wide x 4.25" high, (13cm x 11cm).
