A late 19th century carnelian seal fob. The oval-shape carnelian plaque, carved to depict a stag and emblem reading 'amo probos' with central initials, to the tapered openwork pedestal. Length 3.5cms. Unhallmarked. Weight 9.9gms.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear, with a dent to one area of the pedestal. Some wear to the metal gilt surfaces. Areas have worn away to reveal a dark tarnished surface. Carnelian in good condition with some abrasion and scratches.
