Lot Description
George III silver pair of bonbon dishes, each of oval form and modelled as an openwork basket with everted sides and twin loop handles, with central engraved crest to the interior depicting a forearm holding a dagger. Hallmarked John Henry Vere & William Lutwyche, London 1765. Width including handles measures 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), combined weight 4.34 ozt (135 grams).

Condition Report
Both dishes display general wear, some tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some minor nicks/dints in the metal, mainly around the base rim. Possible repair at join of one of the handles. Remnants of polish in some areas. Considerable loss of detail to both engraved crests. Very slight distortion to maker's marks but all hallmarks are legible.
