Lot Description

A Victorian wine ewer of plain baluster form, the body crested with the motto 'Spes Mea Christus', with an applied spiral of vine around the body leading to a naturalistic bark scrolling handle. Hallmarked Edward & John Barnard London 1866. Height measuring 14 inches (35.5 cm), weight 34.2 ozt (1063 grams).
