An Edwardian silver christening mug, of slightly tapered cylindrical form with line engraved decoration and personal inscription. Hallmarked William Aitkin, Birmingham, 1908. Height 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm). Weight 3.11 ozt (96.9 grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The piece is significantly tarnished. The hallmarks are slightly worn, the makers mark more so. There is a shallow dent to the rim of the mug. The personal inscription reads "Kathleen Margaret, 1909".
