Edwardian silver caster of plain octagonal sided baluster form and raised above a conforming foot, the detachable pierced lid with flame finial. Hallmarked Matthew John Jessop, Birmingham 1902. Maximum height including finial measures 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), weight 2.76 ozt (85.9 grams).

Condition Report
The caster displays general wear and surface marks and scratches and some light tarnishing. There are some small surface dints visible to the main body and various minor nicks. The detachable cover bears part hallmarks, which are legible. The flame finial is very slightly bent to one side. The main hallmarks are slightly distorted but still legible.
