Victorian cased silver christening bowl and associated spoon, the bowl with floral and scroll embossing, the dual cartouche with initial and date engraving, and raised above a circular stepped foot, hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd Birmingham1897, diameter measuring 4 1/4 inches (10.7 cm). The associated spoon is hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd Birmingham 1903. Gross combined weight 6.2 ozt (194 grams).

The cased silver Christening bowl appears in good overall condition it does display light general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The hallmarks are clear and legible. The spoon although well matched, does not completely match the space in the box or design, although they are the same maker, different dates.
