Lot Description
A 1920’s cased silver salt and pepper of quatrefoil form with vertical lobed decoration to the lower body standing on an oval shaped footed base, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd Birmingham 1921, numbered 2179, height 3 1/2 Inches (9 cm). Together with a 1930's cased three piece silver condiment set of octagonal form, comprising a pepper pot, open salt and mustard including blue glass liners, and salt and mustard spoons, hallmarked Alexander Clark & Co Ltd Birmingham & Sheffield 1937. Gross combined weighable silver 4.3 ozt (136 grams).

Condition Report
Both the salt and pepper display general scratches, wear and tarnishing. Small amounts of polish are visible to the recesses but are only noticeable on close inspection. Hallmarks are visible and legible being slightly rubbed. . The mustard pot is particularly tarnished, especially to the inside and the underneath of the lid. The blue glass liners display a couple of minor nibbles to the rim only noticeable under close inspection. The case for the salt and pepper is in good condition with some scratches and peeling to the corners and edges. The condiment set case is scratched and worn with some peeling to the back left hand corner, the cream lining is stamped with the retailers mark, some yellow staining to the material is also apparent, the hinges and clasps are in good working order, the left clasp being slightly looser than the right.
