Lot Description
Early twentieth century silver caster of plain bulbous form raised above four pad feet with lobed detail, the detachable domed cover with circle piercing and dome top finial. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Chester 1928. Height including finial measures 6 1/4 inches (16 cm), gross weight 5.39 ozt (167.4 grams).

Condition Report
Item displays general wear, some tarnishing and general surface marks and scratches. Some deeper scratches and general nicks and one larger dint around the bulbous lower section. The flange to the cover is a little dinted and misshapen and there are also some dints to the pierced areas. One of the feet is slightly upturned so that it wobbles slightly when standing. Full hallmarks and part hallmarks are mainly legible.
