George V silver salver of circular form, raised shaped rim, central engraving relating to The Lancashire Fusiliers and raised on four hoof feet. Hallmarked Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker) Chester 1917. Diameter measuring 10 1//2 inches (26.5 cm), weight 17.5 ozt (544 grams).
'Presented to Major W.H. Lowe by the officers of (res.) Batt. 6th Lancashire Fusiliers on the occasion of his marriage, 14th Aug. 1918.'

Condition Report
The salver displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The feet have obvioulsy taken a know as the salver wobbles on a flat surface. A couple of minor dints along with a few deeper scratches and scuffs. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly rubbed.
