Lot Description
Small Edwardian silver table cigarette box of plain rectangular form, the slightly domed hinged cover engraved with a crest to the centre and opening to reveal a wooden interior. Hallmarked Griffiths & Singleton, Birmingham 1902. Measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) by 3 1/4 inches (8.2 cm).

Condition Report
The cigarette box displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches all over. Some deeper scratches in places and various minor nicks and surface dints in the metal, especially to edges and corners. The hinged cover is in working order although there is still a slight gap when lid is closed. Some deterioration to the wood interior including some missing pieces. The main hallmarks are partly distorted, especially the lion and date letter. Part hallmarks to lid are clear and legible.
