Lot Description

A matched Edwardian silver mounted cut glass vanity jar and box of cylindrical and oblong form, the detachable lids embossed with scrolls slightly varying in design. Hallmarked Birmingham 1902, by Sanders & Aquilar and Adie & Lovekin Ltd. (2).

Both silver mounts are quite tarnished in the embossed areas and display general wear and surface marks and scratches.  There are also some minor surface dints.  The oblong lid has a small split in the metal on one side.  The circular lid has several visible dints in the metal.  Both have a couple of tiny holes in the embossed decoration.  Hallmarks to both are legible.  Both glass pots have some minor surface and rim nicks/chips and the circular glass pot has a large vertical crack in the glass.
