Lot Description

Late Victorian silver spirit kettle stand, the circular form with gadrooned rim and raised above three tapering legs terminating in hairy paw feet and leading to a central ring mount holding the detachable silver burner.  Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), London 1893. Height measures 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm), gross weight 9.6 ozt (298.5 grams).

Both stand and burner are quite tarnished and display general wear and surface marks and scratches.  Some deeper scratches in places and various minor nicks.  Burner has a slight rim dint to one side.  Both stand and burner are hallmarked and marks are mainly very clear apart from a partly distorted maker's mark to the burner.
