Lot Description
An Oriental silver open salt of quatrefoil form embossed with blossom, bamboo and stylised seated figure, oriental characters to the base. Together with a late eighteenth century Russian silver salt, hallmarked Fyedor Petrov, Moscow 1774 and a further continental example. Gross weight 2.6 ozt (80.92 grams). (3).

Condition Report
All three open salts display general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Oriental example displaying some further discolouration, wear to the rim seam, a few dints to the base and the marks to the base appear heavily rubbed. The Russian and third example displaying heavier wear to the decoration, the Russian marks appear quite distorted, rubbed marks visible to the third example and possibly a ate 178?.
