Lot Description

Spanish butter warmer dish of oblong form with shell thumb piece to the cover and tapering ebonised handle, the whole on four paw feet, struck with the Pentagram mark and a further mark in a hexagonal punch;  together with a Spanish mustard pot and cover of cauldron shape with single wire swing handle and standing on three feet, Pentagram mark and maker's mark in an oval stamp.  Gross combined weight 10 ozt (312 grams).

Both items display general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches.  There are various dints to the butter warmer dish, especially around the rim of the cover and main dish.  The lid no longer closes properly.  Marks are partly obscured.  The mustard is quite tarnished all over.  Some small dints and some larger ones to one of the feet.  Marks to the pot and spoon are clear and legible.
