Lot Description

Two modern Danish silver gilt and enamel spoons, one with blue enamel stem, the other with blue and black owl's eyes amidst stylised foliage in white and green enamel, both with maker's marks to the reverse of the stem for Anton Michelsen, Copenhagen, and marked sterling.  Length of both measures 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), gross combined weight 2.91 ozt (90.8 grams).

Both spoons display general wear and surface marks and scratches.  Also various minor nicks, especially to edges and to the enamel in places.  Gilding a little worn in places and the reverse of the blue enamel stem is not gilded at all.  This spoon has date of Jul 1961 on the reverse.  The other spoon has date of 19 Jul 1970 to reverse and also impressed date 1970.  Marks are all legible.
