Lot Description

1940's cased set of six silver teaspoons, each with foliate detail to the slim stem and leading to an initialled circular terminal, hallmarked R N Hollings & Co., Birmingham 1947;  together with a cased set of five silver teaspoons, hallmarked Birmingham 1951 (one missing), a silver cigar cutter, hallmarked Birmingham 1960, and a silver ingot, Sheffield 1977.  Combined gross weight 6.65 ozt (206.7 grams).

All pieces display general wear, some tarnishing and general surface marks and scratches in keeping with the usage.  Some deeper scratches in places and various minor nicks, especially to edges and rims.  Some slight loss of detail to decoration in some areas.  Spoon bowls have faired quite well.  Some wear to hallmarks but mainly legible.
