Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver sovereign case of circular form with engine turned decoration, hallmarked Aaron Lufkin Dennison Birmingham 1912, numbered 35728, diameter measuring 3.5 cm. Together with an early twentieth century silver dual sovereign case with floral scroll engraving surrounding a personally engraved heart shaped cartouche, hallmarked W H Haseler Ltd Birmingham 1912. Condition Report
The singular example appears in good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use, the sprung platform in good working order. The dual example appears in quite poor condition with heavy tarnishing, the two halves of the case do not sit flush, some dints viisble and the clasp is stiff, the hinge has also pulled away from the body to one side. The hallmarks are clear and legible overall.
