Lot Description

A late nineteenth/early twentieth century Austro-Hungarian goldfish salt, the textured body standing on fins and the fanned tail with six holes at the mouth. Austria-Hungary marks for 800 grade silver, Linz 1886-1922. Length 2 7/8 inches (6.2cm). Weight 0.77 ozt (23.6grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There is a small repair to one side, where the tail meets the body. The screw base is still secure. The tail is also struck with a makers mark PV.
