Lot Description

A selection of Victorian and later silver articles, to include an enamel miniature serving tray, a silver-topped scent bottle, a pierced silver heart-shape dish and a burr wood snuff box. Enamel tray hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd, Birmingham 1919. Gross weighable silver 5.87 ozt (182.4 grams).

The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The blue enamel has significant wear and loss. The heart-shaped openwork dish has accrued a lot of dirt and discolouration. The other items in the lot include a silver thimble, two silver napkin rings, a silver matchbox cover, a silver vesta, a silver mounted hand brush, a silver retractable corkscrew and four silver teaspoons. The hobnail glass bottle has significant dents to the silver mount. The plain glass vial has a shallow chip to the glass base. The brush handle is rippled where it joins the brush head.
