Lot Description

White metal mounted glass scent bottle of flat teardrop shape, probably continental, the front applied with a white metal oval panel decorated with foliate motifs and a bird to the centre, with white metal neck, hinged lid and footed base, punched mark to the underside along with the letter H, maximum height measuring 4 inches (10 cm);  together with two further glass scent bottles, each of bulbous form and with similar white metal mounts (all a.f). (3).

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The condition of all three bottles is poor.  All display general wear and surface marks and scratches  The white metal mounts are quite tarnished and display numerous dints and holes.  On the teardrop shape bottle, the hinges are broken so that the lid comes off completely.  The lid is very dinted and has several holes in the metal.  The foot is slightly at an angle so that it wobbles slightly when standing.  The other two bottles are in very similar condition, on one the white metal foot has come off completely and the hinged lid has nearly broken off, on the other the hinged lid is very squashed and as a result cannot be opened properly.  Also various minor nicks and rim chips to the glass in places.
