Victorian silver card case of rectangular form with scroll shaped surround, diaper engraving and central vacant shield shaped cartouche. Hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason Birmingham 1858. Height measuring 4 inches (10 cm), weight 1.8 ozt (57 grams).

Condition Report
The card case displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A few small dints and bumps and some loss of detail to the scroll surround. The hinge has become very loose and allows sideways movement as well as not staying shut. The hallmarks lightly rubbed but clear and legible.
