Lot Description

Victorian silver large goblet, decorated to the main cup with a continuous band of foliate decorated oval panels and one containing a dedication engraving, with trailing husk motifs and raised beaded border decoration throughout, the knopped stem leading to a spreading circular foot with conforming bead decoration.  Hallmarked Henry Holland (Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater), London 1876.  Height measures 7 inches (18 cm), weight 6.19 ozt (192.4 grams).

The goblet is quite heavily tarnished and displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age.  Some deeper scratches in places and some minor nicks.  Part of a seam line is visible to the stem and the interior of the cup is very tarnished with lots of dark marks.  Hallmarks clear and legible.
