The tea pot displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Various deeper scratches and numerous minor nicks and small surface dints all over and also some loss of detail to the decoration in places, especially to the engraved cartouche. Remnants of polish in some areas. Handle is broken near to the base, just below the ivory mount. Hinged cover in working order. Hallmarks to the underside are slightly rubbed but still legible, and also the part hallmarks to the interior of the lid.
